Edearn is an online education platform built for instructors and students to create, sell, and access courses.
At its core, Edearn helps instructors turn their expertise into revenue while empowering students to learn in-demand skills for career advancement. My task was to build the platform from scratch, including both the instructor backend for course management and the student frontend for browsing and taking courses. I also designed landing pages for the platform.
The goal was to reduce time to complete tasks like course building and student feedback, improve onboarding for both first-time and returning instructors, and boost platform metrics: number of courses created, purchased, and completed.
Challenges
Content Drop-off: Instructors often stopped midway while organizing course material, risking lost progress and incomplete content.
Discoverability & Reach: With thousands of online courses out there, helping the right student find the right course was critical.
Pricing & Monetization Confusion: Instructors were unsure how best to price, package, and distribute their content.
Lack of Feedback Tools: Instructors needed easy ways to track student performance and update content, while students craved timely feedback.
Cross-Platform Experience: The platform needed to function just as well across devices and systems: web, Android, iOS, Mac, and Windows.
